It’s sad to see what started as such a great premise devolved into some weird anime with every character having borderline personality disorder and extreme narcissistic personality disorder. False analogy in the sense that cancer is nothing like any of the Cluster B Personality Disorders like Borderline personality disorder, Histrionic personality disorder, Narcissistic personality disorder or Antisocial personality disorder which have consistent, long-term, and unhealthy patterns of thinking, feeling as well as undesirable or self destructive behavior.

People with Cluster B Personality Disorders are rampant among cheaters like Laura.

In criminal cases having a mental disorder does not exclude the person from conviction and punishment. Neither should it be an excuse for infidelity or cheating and subsequent consequences.
