I do think benzo withdrawal induced symptoms can go away as you taper - some people do cut and hold and wait until the symptoms aren't bad. Others do daily microtaper to keep the symptoms from getting bad. There are a handful of people that add another drug (like gabapentin) to make things go faster/easier, and maybe sometimes it works.
