I haven't noticed a difference, I still feel very sick. My sinus infection is causing my gums to swell and hurt as well as my cheeks and part of my left brow. This is the first time this has happened to me and it is really painful. Nothing else seems to work. it may be a viral infection so an antiobiotic will not work on it. Important!!! I am not a doctor. I do come from s family of health professionals and have a great deal of layman knowledge as well as hemeopathic experience. Most important!!! If you are prescribed antibiotics, TAKE THEM ALL AS PRESCRIBED. People not taking antibiotics correctly is creating strains of highly resistant infections. It is getting harder and more expensive to treat ailments due to misuse of antibiotics. It usually takes oral antibiotics 3-5 days for a patient to notice improvement. Sometimes faster but if by the 5th day there is no improvement, go back to your doctor. Most antibiotics dont work on viruses. Unless specifically stated by a doctor, dont take antibiotics for colds, flu, etc. They wont work and could make an underlying ailment worse. Grandma's advice is best for viruses unless severe. Rest, lots of liquids and wholesome food will help you heal fastest. If severe, dont wait, get to urgent care, hospital or doctor asap, especially if fever starts to crowd 104f.
